01The short version
I started at Fly Bar in Tampa in 2013 and never got out of the industry.
Most of the decade after that was Washington, DC — Farmers & Distillers, Leftdoor, The Passenger, Doi Moi, Never Looked Better, The Golden Age. I ran a couple of them. All of them got busy.
What I’m actually good at: a bar three deep, and knowing which drink to build first. Getting someone to what they want in two questions instead of five. Checking IDs without making it a moment. Closing out clean so the next shift doesn’t inherit a mess.
I’m TIPS certified and my ABCA manager’s license is active. I’m in Hudson now, working around Tampa Bay, and I’m looking for a room that fills up.

02Where I’ve worked
Sept – Oct 2025Washington, DC
The Golden Age
Bartender
Busy service bar — tickets, tabs, splits, and whatever the POS decided to do that night, sorted out without stopping the line.
Took the unhappy guests myself. Most of that is listening first, then fixing it in one move instead of three.
July 2021 – Sept 2025Washington, DC
Never Looked Better
Creative Director / Bartender
Four years on a high-volume cocktail program. Batching, prep, speed rail, and a menu I could talk through without a cheat sheet.
Trained new bartenders on workflow, the menu, card handling, responsible service, and what to do when someone is upset.
Sold by asking two decent questions instead of pitching. People spend more when the recommendation is actually for them.
Kept up with menu changes, events, and promos so the answer I gave a guest was still true that week.
Mar – July 2021Washington, DC
Doi Moi
Bartender
Restaurant bar: service tickets for the floor plus my own guests, prep, and the full open and close.
Cash and card handling, shift flow, and holding pace with the kitchen through a rush.
Jan 2019 – Aug 2020Washington, DC
The Passenger / Hex
General Manager / Concept Creator
Ran the daily operation — schedule, staffing, inventory, vendors, training, and anything that broke on a Friday.
Hex was my concept: the menu, the look, and how service was supposed to run.
Took guest complaints from the first report to the fix instead of handing them down the bar.
Mar 2017 – Jan 2019Washington, DC
Leftdoor
Assistant Manager / Bartender
Inventory, ordering, scheduling support, and cash handling on top of my own shifts behind the bar.
Onboarded new staff and got them up to speed on service standards and how the room actually runs.
Nov 2016 – Mar 2017Washington, DC
Farmers & Distillers
Bartender / Distillery Tour Guide
Ran distillery tours between shifts. Same skill as bartending, honestly — read the group and answer the question they meant to ask.
Feb 2013 – June 2016Tampa, FL
Fly Bar & Restaurant
Assistant Manager → General Manager / Event Coordinator
Front of house for a full restaurant and bar: scheduling, training, and running the floor.
Booked and ran private events and large parties, including the changes that show up an hour before the guests do.
Also: ten years of this means a lot of shifts that don’t need their own paragraph — event bars, pop-ups, private parties, and covering rooms that were short. Ask me about any of it.
